In the heart of Cappadocia
“Excellent hotel in the heart of Cappadocia”
I have been to this hotel during my 2-days excursion to Cappadocia, organized from Antalya region. Because, I have already stayed twice in Crystal Flora Beach Hotel in Kemer, I was very glad to have opportunity to stay again in this recognizable hotels chain in Turkey - Crystal Hotels - that guarantee quality of service.
Crystal Kaymakli Hotel &Spa is perfectly located. In its vicinity, there are many places worth visiting. Firstly, extraordinary Kaymakli Underground town is located within walking distance from the hotel. Short drive from the hotel (around 20 minutes) will take you to Goreme open-air museum, Valley of doves, Fairy chimneys, important spots as like sunset and belvedere points - all of these places provide you fascinating view on amazing and surrealistic landscapes of Cappadocia. If you want to have the best possible view, as I had, don't miss flight in hot baloon (must and suitable for persons from 7 to 77 years) and look for one of many tourist offices near hotel. Also, in the vicinity of the hotel, there are promising shopping possibilities - look for Onyx souvenir shop offering jewellery made od stones that only exist in Cappadocia or the shop where you will find scarfs made of silk from Izmir (both shops are located in Valley of doves). Besides souvenir shops, everywhere are located stands, caffes and restaurants offering fresh juices, dried fruit and nice meals at reasonable prices.
Although, I was in group of 25 people, checking in at reception desk was fast and reception staff were: professional, effective and kind.
Restoran service is based on all inclusive service. It offers wide choice of food in buffet-style and meals are really delicious (my cup of tea).
My room was: spacious, bright, modern designed with all adequated facilities needed for todays tourists. Toilet was, also, large, and equiped with hair-drier and all hygienic stuff. Overall, cleanness was at high level in the hotel.
Outdoor pool, beautiful and big enough to enjoy swimming, gives an additional attractiveness to the hotel.
For spa&hamam (extra pay) goers: Make sure you have plenty of gaps in your programme to relax here.
My impression was: The hotel is very well maintained and provides comfortable accomodation with excellent all inclusive service and supported by beautiful pool with grassy area around it, as well as, spa&hamam. All of these mentioned will give you feeling of indulgence. Although, I was part of big group of tourists, the hotel is also, recommendable for individual guests of all ages. No matter what profile of traveller you are or whether you plan a shorter or longer stay in fascinating Cappadocia, Crystal Kaymakli will meet your needs in the best possible way. I wish I had a longer stay here. Crystal Kaymakli Hotel&Spa made my Cappadocia sightseeing tour more beautiful. Thank you so much!

“An honest hotel in a less sophisticated area of Turkey”
We stayed at this hotel for three nights as part of a package tour to Cappdoccia. The hotel is set in the centre of the small town of Kaymakli. The local mosque is on the opposite side of the road so there is no need for an early morning alarm call! The iman summons the faithful at 05.20! Other than that the whole place is quiet and peaceful.
The hotel was very clean and tidy with the rooms being well serviced during the day. There were no complimentary shampos / shower gels in the rooms or tea / coffee making facilities. If that is the difference between 4 and 5 star rating, so be it. The food was good and plentiful, served in a buffet style. The only slight 'gripe' was that the food could have been hotter in some cases.
Drinks are no included and have to be paid for at the time of checking out. Waiters have a pad which they use to record your transactions and you are given a copy for your records. Due to the innummerable sheets and the quality of the 'carbon copy' effect what is written on the copy you are handed is more often not that legible. I suggest that you ensure that the total from the waiter's face sheet is clearly recorded on your copy in order to ensure that the bill you are required to pay on checking out is accurate.
Should you decide to have a drink in the bar DO NOT have any sort of drink that has a shelf life, Baileys for example, as it may well be well past it's 'use by date' due to very little demand and, I assume, a lack of knowledge as how long it will last out of a fridge.
Excellent sauna, steam room, gym and swimming pool in the basement, so don't forget your kit!

We stayed here as part of a very cheap Premio travel tour. Because the holiday was so cheap I had reservations about the standard of accommodation we might be offered, but I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel.
The rooms were large & immaculately clean. Sadly no balcony but we weren't there during the day so it didn't really matter too much. The beds were comfortable but the pillows were not - that's true of most hotel pillows though!
The reception area is large, the bar was pleasant and there were lots of facilities which we didn't have time to use.
The food was perfectly adequate, though not of the same quality & quantity as sister Crystal Hotel in Belek. All of it was tasty and although I can't comment on the meat, we vegetarians had at least 3 platefuls at each meal (including breakfast), unfortunately that meant we put on between 3-5lb each over the week long tour!
I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel as part of a tour, however it was very geared up towards groups, so I don't know how I'd feel as a solo/couple staying there.
