We have just returned from the Crystal Sunrise Queen as a family of 2 adults and 2 girls aged 14 & 6.
We had a family room with 2 bedrooms. The room itself was lovely and spacious and cleaned daily. The beds were comfy and the pillows of good condition, not flat and worn out as in previous hotels I've stayed in. The duvet for the double bed - which is a super king size - was not big enough to cover the bed and was in fact the same size as the duvets for the single beds, this could be easily rectified by using 2 duvets instead of one. We only had one fridge in our room, which after talking to other guests, we realised was not the norm as everyone else had 2. (One in each of the bedrooms) This didn't cause us any major problems, however we could have done with the extra space due to having medication that needed refrigeration. The showers were really powerful and all toiletries were supplied (shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hand wash) We were on the ground floor and had a nice view of the family pool.
The pools were clean and well maintained, as we witnessed on a daily basis. Beds and umbrellas were readily available even up to 8 or 9am. Beach towels are provided and can be changed daily at the spa.
We found the restaurants to be quite chaotic at times, especially the waterfall restaurant. However there are other places to eat and you will never go hungry and ice cream was available most of the day, not just at meal times. We did notice that if you arrived slightly later for dinner, around 8pm, that most of the food was already beginning to be cleared away, even when there were still people arriving. My one complaint was that despite asking on numerous occasions for Cola Light, we were in fact served full sugar Coke. Not a major issue, but as I have a child with type 1 diabetes this could have caused her to become incredibly sick. Thankfully we tested the drinks beforehand and just left them. We resorted to water while in the restaurants as it was never right.
There are 4 al a carte restaurants, Mexican, seafood, Turkish and Chinese. The Chinese was chargeable but you could visit one of the other al a carte's, once for each week of your stay at no cost. The Mexican was beautiful, but go there hungry! It was my husbands birthday while we were there and they decorated his table, gave him a cake and champagne. In fact the hotel made a big fuss bringing wine and fruit to our room too. It was a lovely touch considering we hadn't mentioned it at all.
There were plenty of places to enjoy an evening drink and watch the sunset, the views were outstanding and something I definitely miss. The waiters were all very friendly and spoke very good English, always greeted you with a smile and often remembered what you drank. The evening shows were a mix of outside performances and shows created by the animation team, with live music most nights until 11pm.
We only visited the beach once, the sand gets dangerously hot (not the hotels fault) but it was clean and with plenty of beds available.
There is a small shopping mall inside the hotel selling everything from sweets and cigarettes, clothing, bags and even rugs! My husband bought me a beautiful eternity ring from the jewellers there at a very good price.
It's a 45 min walk, or a 10 min taxi ride into Side, worth a visit to see the ruins, however expect to be approached, a lot! We found the shops just outside the hotel to have just as much to offer without the hard pressure sale. Recommend the pharmacy across the road, great for anything you may need and at a reasonable price.
All in all a lovely hotel. We have already booked to return next year.

“Overall a great holiday”
We have just returned from a 2 week holiday at this hotel we are a family of 2 adults and 2 boys aged 13 and 9. The hotel itself I would rate as a 4 star rather than a 5 star. We spent most of our time around the family pool which was great and close to the water slides which the kids loved. A big plus for us was you could always get a sun bed, even as late as 9:00am, unlike a lot of hotels where you have to get up at 6:00am. The food was plentiful and varied with theme nights so there was always something for everyone even fussy children! There are 3 A La carte restaurants but unfortunately you can only visit two out of the 3 in a fortnight, however we visited both the Seafood and the Mexican but didn't try the Turkish, The Mexican is definitely worth a visit but we weren't so impressed with the Seafood. There is also an Italian but you have to pay extra for that. The beach is lovely and the views of the beach from the hotel are stunning. The staff at the hotel were generally helpful and friendly but there were a couple of male waiters that were amazing and definitely worth a mention Ali and Serdar what great lovely guys they are a credit to the hotel.
There are are a number of shops and bars just outside of the hotel and there is a great Market on a Monday and Thursday in Manavgat which is about 30 minutes away in a bus/taxi. You can walk along the beach all the way to Side which is about a 45 minute walk.
The main criticism I would say is that most of the flights home are in the evening and the hotel were not allowing most people to keep their rooms, even though they were prepared to pay, if you were lucky you were offered a courtesy room otherwise you were told to use the spa to shower which isn't ideal. The hotel are definitely missing a trick here especially as people are prepared to pay to keep their rooms!!
Overall though a great location and we wouldn't rule out going back.

“Great family holiday”
Spent a week at the hotel in a 2 bedroom family suite with teenagers aged 16 and 14. Room was adequate (a little tired in places), but showers and air con both worked a dream and the free, daily re-stocked mini bar was very welcomed. Large hotel right on the beach. Staff worked tirelessly to impress and keep the place clean. Service for drinks and food good, as was the food selection. Lots of nationalities there, quite a few Russians (30%) but also Turks and other mainland Euro countries, with some UK tourists. Pools are clean and safe with plenty of padded sun loungers and parasols (the same on the beach) and all free. Animation was good and the team provided the usual events, water polo etc (Elena ) , Aquagym, Zumba etc etc and evening entertainment in the outdoor amphitheatre. A really relaxing week with glorious weather. Impressive Spa and even has a doctor on site (not that he was needed). Would definitiely go back. Not the place for the all day breakfast and drink 24/7 brigade, but rather a laid back, friendly hotel where you can do as much or as little as you wish. Top staff were Mahummet in Waterfall, Mahmut in Turkish restaurant and Elena in the Animation team. Thanks for a great holiday.

We have got amazing holiday thanks to aniamtion team. From the first day till last day they always did whatever they can. Especially their comedy shows and best couple show made me laughing so much. To be honest i don’t know if we wouldn't meet with them, what I would think about hotel. Cuz there is a lot of things missing and especially that amphitheater looks horribly old. But it’s not the fault of animation team, it’s the hotel which doesn’t take care of it. If i come back to this hotel, it would be really because of the animation team, Thanks to Mr. Kartal and his team. You guys made my holiday great.
